On First of December, we had the pleasure of attending the "Wines of the Wild South" event at the picturesque Cottesloe Civic Centre. Hosted by AHOY Management, it was the perfect way to welcome the start of summer with stunning ocean views and a fantastic selection of wines from the Great Southern region.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was electric. Live music set the mood as I mingled with other wine enthusiasts, enjoying the all-inclusive Albany Rock Oyster Bar and indulging in delicious grazing boxes featuring local delicacies.
It was a special treat to see our honey included in the boxes, showcasing the flavors of the Great Southern region.
The variety of wines on offer was truly impressive, with over 15 wineries showcasing their finest vintages, including many of the region's renowned Rieslings.
The event was expertly organized, with plenty of seating available and a relaxed, convivial atmosphere. It was a fantastic opportunity to discover new wines, stock up on favorites for the holidays, and support the thriving wine industry of the Great Southern.
