Ingredients
1 small onion or 2 shallots finely chopped
1 finely chopped garlic clove
1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp butter
100g - finely minced pork or turkey (for a vegie option just replace with more mushrooms)
100g finely chopped mushrooms
100ml white wine (optional)
100g fresh breadcrumbs
1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
1 beaten egg
80g truffle sauce
salt and pepper
Method
Start by sautéing onions in a mix of oil and butter until they become soft and golden. Add minced garlic and continue sautéing for an additional 2 minutes. Introduce mushrooms to the mix and cook for about 5 minutes until they reach a tender consistency. Pour in wine and let the mixture simmer for 3 minutes. Remove the pan from heat and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
Combine this flavorful mixture with the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Shape the mixture into balls and place them evenly on a baking tray. Bake at 180ºC for approximately 20 minutes or until the truffle stuffing balls develop a golden and crispy exterior.
Once baked to perfection, let them cool slightly before serving. These delightful truffle stuffing balls make for a delicious and elegant addition to your festive table, perfect as a side dish or paired with your holiday turkey. Enjoy!
